Georgia Divorce Attorney Carolyn Karettis

Family law is one of the most sensitive areas in our justice system. Cases pertaining to family law may include separation, divorce, and sadly often affect children involved in custody battles, but for experienced family law attorney Carolyn Karettis, practicing this challenging area of law is her expertise.

Understanding the importance of a quality education, Carolyn received her undergraduate degree from the University of Florida. During this time, her path for family law would begin as she participated in the program “Put Something Back.” This important program is unique in that it represents both men and women in domestic violence cases.

Carolyn went on to pursue higher education, earning her Juris Doctorate degree from Nova Southeastern University. While working towards her Juris degree, Carolyn obtained the opportunity to participate in a civil internship. Continuing what would be her future practice - family law - Carolyn’s internship enabled her to represent indigent clients in divorce and domestic violence cases.

Carolyn’s professional career in family law began in 1987 when she was admitted to the Florida Bar.
Following many achievements while practicing law in Florida, Carolyn relocated to Georgia where she was admitted to State Bar of Georgia in 1988.
